Why you need good sales copy
Whilst anyone can write some text which tells others about their business, it takes a specific crafting of words from a sales copywriter based on proven sales psychology and selling techniques, to draw readers in and make them feel an urge to buy your product/service.
Good sales copy must do these 5 things:
- Immediately draw the reader in and create the curiosity/interest needed for them to continue reading.
- Use benefit-driven selling to appeal to the emotional side of the reader, not just the logical side.
- Create a feeling of want and need for your product/service.
- Make the reader trust you and have confidence in what you can do.
- Close the sale and direct the reader towards the purchase.
If your sales copy doesn’t do one or more of these then your sales conversion rate will not be as high as it could be. That’s customers and sales lost.
Many people assume copywriting is only about writing text which flows well and sounds good. This is a big part of it but sales copywriting goes much deeper. Great sales copy turns your website into a top-class sales machine which grabs every visitor and SELLS what you are offering.
Ever tried word smithing your website?
We bet you carefully crafted the words to appeal to your target reader segments, hoping to instantly pull people in. And if you were like most of our client, you pinned all your hopes on closing the sales at the end – So why have the sales (read: fat profits) you had hoped for failed to materialise?
How did it go so horribly wrong? What exactly happened? We suspect, most your readers probably quit reading before they even reached the close!
How does one monetize their website copy? What does it take to sculpt sales copy? In future posts, we hope to share some of our most precious copywriting secrets with you.

Greetings clients and countrymen!
Goodbye to our flashy smashy website. While it looked really pretty and everyone talked about it, we just coudn’t get our heads around updating it. Not good for Web 2.0 we kept telling outselves. So one wintry morning (today actually) we decided to opt for a wordpress site. Clean, simple and cuts to the chase. All in real time.
